Agency Mandate Letter

The agency mandate letter is an annual correspondence from the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming to the Niagara Parks Commission outlining the Minister’s broad expectations with respect to service and performance priorities for the coming fiscal year. The letter sets out high level, achievable expectations that are consistent with the NPC’s legislative mandate outlined in The Niagara Parks Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.N.3. The expectations relate to various elements that the NPC is to address in its business plan and annual report. The Mandate letter has been drafted in a collaborative process between the Ministry and the NPC.
